What this quiz is, and what it isn't
It is
- A funny personality quiz about group chats
- Made to be shared with your friends
- Every role is a good one
It isn't
- A scientific personality test
- A judgement on how good a friend you are
- A way to label or tease anyone in a mean way
About this quiz
Every group chat has a cast of characters. There is the one who actually makes plans happen, the one who replies only in memes, the one who reads everything and says nothing, and the one who greets every bit of news with ALL CAPS. Most people recognize their friends instantly, and themselves a little more slowly.
This quiz looks at your habits: what you do with 87 unread messages, how you react to big news and what you do when nobody can pick a restaurant. Each answer leans toward one role. The role you lean toward most is your result. Then the fun part: send it to the group and see if they agree.
How scoring works
One point per answer
Each of the 18 questions has 4 answers, and each answer adds one point to one of the 6 results.
Every result is fair
Every result can be reached the same number of times, so no result is favored.
Most points wins
In a tie, the result that got a point most recently wins, so the same answers always give the same result.
All 6 possible results
- The PlannerYou turn "we should hang out" into a date, a time and a booking.
- The Meme SupplierYou keep the group laughing with perfectly timed memes, GIFs and screenshots.
- The Silent ReaderYou read everything, notice everything and show up when it really counts.
- The Hype FriendYou celebrate everyone loudly and make the whole group feel amazing.
- The Fact CheckerYou bring the links, the receipts and the correct opening times. Everyone teases you and everyone needs you.
- The StorytellerYou turn ordinary days into epic stories, sent seven messages at a time.
Frequently asked questions
Which group chat role is the best?
All of them. A group chat needs a planner, someone funny, someone kind, someone accurate, someone with stories and someone who simply reads and cares. That is what makes it a group.
Why did I get the Silent Reader?
Because your answers leaned toward reading, noticing and replying privately rather than posting a lot. Silent Readers are often the most loyal people in the group.
Can I play more than one role?
Definitely. Most people have a main role and a backup. If you want to see your full mix across all six roles, the optional detailed report shows it.
How is my result chosen?
Each answer gives one point to one of the 6 results. The result with the most points wins. If two results tie, the one that got a point most recently (from your later answers) wins, so the same answers always give the same result.
Do you save my answers or personal data?
No account and no tracking. Your answers and latest result stay in your own browser. If you use the free report offer, we keep a random browser ID and a scrambled version of your IP address for 30 days so each person gets one free report. Clearing your browser's site data removes your saved result.
Is this a scientific or psychological test?
No. It is a quiz made for fun, written to be enjoyable and shareable. It does not measure personality scientifically and it does not diagnose anything.
What is in the optional detailed report?
Your free result is complete. If you want more, the detailed report ($2.99, paid once) adds your full score mix across all 6 results, a deeper profile, three playful things to watch for and a mini challenge for the next 7 days. Your very first quiz can unlock it for free when a friend opens your personal link.
